Since the first Gulfstream aircraft flew in 1958, the OEM has been elevating business aviation to greater heights.
With a focus on safety, performance, comfort and innovation, the Savannah, Georgia-based manufacturer has more than 2,900 aircraft in service worldwide and has won numerous product excellence awards.
MEET THE GULFSTREAM AIRCRAFT FAMILY
The modern-day Gulfstream lineup includes the G280, G500, G600, G650/G650ER and G700. A seventh aircraft, the G550, is ending production in 2021 but remains an active player in the pre-owned aircraft market.
The smallest aircraft in the family, the super midsize G280 specializes in accessing hard-to-reach destinations. Comfortable with steep approaches, short runways and high altitudes, the G280 features two separate living areas and carries up to 10 passengers. Its cockpit features Gulfstream’s Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS), allowing qualified pilots to land in low-visibility conditions.
Certified in 2018 as a clean sheet design, the long-range G500 delivers the ultimate combination of performance, comfort and modern technology. With up to three living areas and a range of 5,300 nautical miles, the G500 seats up to 19 passengers and sleeps up to eight. Up front, active control sidesticks are features in the Symmetry Flight Deck, which was pioneered by the fly-by-wire G500. The cockpit also features EFVS and synthetic vision primary flight display.
Certified in June 2019, the G600 is Gulfstream’s second recent clean-sheet design and was developed concurrently with the G500. Up to 19 passengers can relax in as many as four living areas while travelling up to 6,600 nautical miles at near supersonic high-speed cruise. In fact, the fly-by-wire G600 has earned more than 20 world speed records.
Known for its speed and impressive range, the G650 family sets an impressive standard in business aviation. The G650ER (with “ER” standing for extended range) holds the record for the farthest fastest flight in business aviation history. More than 400 aircraft are in service, flying a wide variety of missions around the globe.
With its flagship G700 program, Gulfstream is combining a spacious, flexible cabin with all new Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and the Symmetry Flight Deck. With up to five living areas and a maximum cruise of Mach 0.925, the G700 is the largest aircraft ever built by the Savannah-based OEM. It is expected to enter into service in 2022.
