Book your upgrade NOW before December 31st 2019 and comply with the mandatory ADS-B upgrade requirements or your aircraft will be grounded on January 1st, 2020.

Schedule your Mandatory ADS-B Upgrade with Skyservice™ TodayThe deadline for equipping your aircraft with ADS-B is January 1st, 2020. To avoid your aircraft being grounded, you must comply with the ADS-B upgrade requirements.

ADS-B-diagram

Calculating from April 1st, 2017 until the final date for completion (midnight December 31st, 2019), there are less than 690 working days (excluding weekends and holidays). That is not a lot of time. Contact us today to schedule your upgrade or to learn more about the ADS-B mandate, or risk your aircraft being grounded on January 1st, 2020.

While a growing amount of aircraft have been upgraded for ADS-B, recent studies suggest that most aircraft are a long way away from meeting the 2020 deadline. There are not enough maintenance slots to accommodate each and every aircraft that require an upgrade, so book your slot today and ensure that you are able to comply. With the deadline approaching, the equipment manufacturers are increasing pricing on the hardware to complete the modification due to supply and demand. We have already seen 20%-50% increases in equipment in the last year.

The FAA published Federal Regulation 14 CFR § 91.225 and 14 CFR § 91.227 in May 2010. The final rule dictates that effective January 1, 2020, aircraft operating in airspace defined in 91.225 are required to have an Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) system that includes a certified position source capable of meeting requirements defined in 91.227.
